T*S*E Rant ~ Collage pt. 1

What’s up, everybody!
Cheetahkit’s bringing some of my insight on the issues of the world --- and what the fuck was wrong with the solutions.

First up~

Rihanna taking Chris Brown back after their “Rocky” situation

….literally, that’s what she looked like; going a few rounds with Balboa and Tyson together for 5 hours. All I can say to this is W-T-F!

Ok, I know that this is common knowledge and is now pretty much old news (showing I don’t have much of a life outside of K.I.R.), but I just found this out; give me a break :P
Anyways, Ree; WHY would you take him back in ANY way shape or form?!
Not only was what he did grounds as a deal breaker, it should have been a “jawbreaker” --- meaning breaking HIS jaw with a baseball bat!

Moving on~

Teacher accused of Racism after pouring pencil shavings in student’s mouth [Article]

The first thing that came to my mind was “which was which” until I read it top to bottom. Long story short, what pissed me off about it was not the race issue, but what was neglected throughout. I mean, come on! Does no one realize that this was also Child Abuse?! To me, this teacher should have gotten sued for mental damages to the boy as well as get fired and have her teaching license stripped so she couldn’t harm kids in ANY other state!

And Lastly~

N.Y. Man’s Candy Bar Resume Lands Job [Article]

Now this is gonna sound like I’m hatin’, but that is one lucky SOB :)
I hadn’t seen anything so inventive since Nelly’s “Pimp Juice” drink; but he did get a gig out of it so that was good. The dude LITERALLY had his work ethics and experience as the product’s ingredients.
I could see it now: He goes to a job fair, heads to each and every table for his field, gives them a Mr. Nutty Candy Bar for them to enjoy; not suspecting that they were taken in by an adult Boy Scout.

Granted, there was nothing really wrong with this other than I’m just as creative & I’m still sitting here broke.

To our loyal but few followers, I know this is not our normal discussions; but I’m trying something different since Frankie D’s gonna be concentrating on her portion of the show. Also, if you didn’t get my Hey Arnold reference from the get-go; it’s my way of saying SAVE THE JUNGLE MOVIE GOD DAMMIT!!
….no, really.
They will go into negotiations if they have 15,000 supporters for this thing. I don’t know about you guys, but I want to see how this Arnold/Helga runabout is gonna end.

T*S*E Rant ~ Gay Rights & The Workforce

CK: Before we start our discussion today, we dedicate this post to~ 

Mr. Tonie Montana,
Mr. Levi Bradshaw,
Miss Nyctea Scandiaca,
and our friends at the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).

Recently, as I was promoting more people at our local colleges; I had happened to come across a table bringing up an issue that’s not only tossed back and forth, but it’s also a VERY touchy subject [along w/ Politics, Racism, Sexism (which I have ACTUALLY been accused of since starting this blog) and the like and had vowed NEVER to talk about these things]. However, this time; I’m breaking that rule.

FD: When Cheetah came to me with our new topic last week and told me about it was like --- DAMN.
And here I thought the human race could sink no lower :(

CK: I went on HRC after I had found out that a percentage of people in the work place that are either Gays, Lesbians, or Transvestites are being FIRED because of it!

Ok, bad enough that us blacks are being targeted due to a stereotypical lazy work ethnic [FYI, not all of that’s true~ only SOME of us are, and yet we’re still lumped together]; but I have many intelligent and talented friends throughout my lifetime, some didn’t stick around but the point is that most of those friends were GAY and LESBIAN.

My heart out to the “Trannies”, love you all but the closest I ever gotten to one is a class project researching “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” and “The Theatre of the Ridiculous”.
Give it time :)

FD: My thoughts~
Leave these people alone! They are not doing any harm to anyone.
Also, letting them get married in any state in this country isn’t the end of the world. Grow up and move on! There are more serious issues to deal with than same sex marriage. If it’s that big a deal then go live under a rock --- it’s going to happen sooner or later, might as well get used to it; if you don’t like it, then “oh the FUCK well!”

CK: Right!
Half the time, I think most of the human race in the “genius and creative” department goes to our outspoken men and women that just HAPPEN to like their own gender. Because of them, we wouldn’t have interesting playwrights and movie buffs.

FD: Exactly! If same sex couples can work, teach, learn AND fight, then they can marry.
All I know is that I don’t see any issues with it personally; the constitution is supposed to protect all people rights and the L/G/B/T community is just as human as the rest of us. There’s nothing wrong with them, but there IS something wrong with you hating people who are different from you.

CK: So, what’s your vote on it, Frankie? You in agreement?

FD: I am TOTALLY for same sex marriage.
If that ticks people off, get over it and get over yourself! Stop hating and start loving because you never know when you need someone's help and they could be gay.

CK: What about your thoughts about 34% of Gays/Lesbians/Transvestites in the workforce being fired because of who they are?

FD: Ok, seriously?!
If they are the most qualified, then leave them alone. I don’t give a rat ass if someone is gay, lesbian, bisexual OR transvestites.
They need to work and pay bills too.
In my opinion, they should sue --- just because a woman loves a woman, a man loves a man and someone got there sex changed; it shouldn’t be a deal breaker for their careers. No one should be fired over their sexuality, its wrong!
I say stand up for your rights and take charge.

T*S*E Rant ~ Legalized Pot

CK: Just when I thought I heard it all….

FD: For those who have been keeping up with news on if and when we can use marijuana without penalty, you can rest at ease knowing that at least 2 states are on board with the idea.

CK: In both Colorado and Washington, pot users can breathe easy [so to speak]….with one little snag.

FD: Apparently, growing it is a whole other story.
Though both states have allowed the distribution and usage of the drug, a federal law was issued that anyone found teaching how to make it will be severely punished. Even master gardeners and university professors were barred from it.

CK: --- But, what are rules if not meant to be bent; am I right? ;)
The universities may have added that policy for the students on campus and was banned entirely in Washington; however, Colorado finds a loop hole in the law.
Because of it, the citizens are allowed the maximum of six (6) marijuana plants per household. They also must be done on private property and NOT in view of the public eye.

FD:   Legalized Pot = Lets Light, Bitches!!!
That’s what I think about when someone even mentions it.

CK: So you’re basically against this?

FD: I just think it’s a way for ‘pot heads’ to try to smoke some more.

If a person is sick [i.e. Glaucoma] and has been given a prescription by a doctor to smoke it, I think it’s up to the person to make that choice about smoking it ---

But since it IS legalized, I’m worried about all those who are going to try to take advantage of the law and smoke it every day.

CK: As well as you should be.
According to the article, some of the amateurs had found two entrepreneurs who had classes at their own risk; a proposition that works well with the current users of pot. They now can save their little ‘mad money’ for supplies like soil and plant pots.

FD: Never satisfied :(
People should just leave the drugs alone unless it’s for their actual health; a doctor giving them orders to take something that is going to help them get better so I’m not bashing people who use pot for medical reasons.
How about your take on the drug itself, Cheetah?

CK: Truth, I’m on the fence.
I know some family members and friends who use it on the regular; even my college roommate experimented with it and other shit that it’s a miracle she still had her nerves still intact. As for me using it, never --- mainly cuz I already have the aftermath of one using cigarettes as a stress reliever. Why would I want to ruin my lungs even further, y’know?

FD: I hear ya.
Pot is a stimulant that can have a good or bad effect on people. Personally, I can live without pot [and others can too if they just put it down and walk away] and I believe that it should be regulated by the FDA; there can be so many dangerous things that can happen like pain and death if people ignored the hazards.

CK: Ok, we know THIS topic will be hard to ignore this time.
